The cost of an entry-level home is starting to rise faster than ever before.
The median price of a home in the US hit $319,700 last month, up from $294,300 in September 2016, according to Zillow.
The average price of an American home hit $425,000 last month.
The median price for an apartment hit $1.1 million last month and the median price per square foot was up to $2,038 in September, according in Zillotix.
The number of apartment apartments rose by 11.5 percent last month to 921,200.
The housing price index in the market fell 0.4 percent in September to 2,988.
The index is based on a survey of 2,000 households.
A typical new home is now priced at $1,250,000.
That’s a jump of about $700,000 from last month when it was $1 million.
It was $850,000 in February, according the Zillower.
The cost of a two-bedroom apartment in the Bay Area is now $2.3 million.
That is a 10.4% increase from last year.
A three-bedroom is $3.3 milion, according Zilloto.
